Chao’s (pronounced Chow) Background
Chao and Tae’s parents were poor immigrants from the Philippines. They moved to the United States with the intentions of fulfilling the good old “American Dream” for their family. Chao had different plans by involving himself in a lifestyle of drug dealing and violent crime. When his parents finally gave up on him, Chao had to find a way to make a living. He decided to participate in martial arts (supported by heavy drug dealing and theft). Chao also was involved in the HTF Club (Hands to Face Club); a bare-knuckle fight tournament held in Tig City. He became an expert fighter often killing his opponents in the ring (which by HTFC rules is permitted). Eventually, Splice hired both of the twin brothers to work for ©Hit Bit Technology® as techs.
Chao’s Personality
Chao’s emotions are altered by whatever kind of drug he is currently on at that particular time. Whether it’s a hallucinogen, opiate or depressant, he has to have a constant supply in order to feel and act somewhat normal. His addiction to drugs makes him a sociopath and numb to the outside world. He will take any substance that will allow him to concentrate on his missions that are assigned by ©Hit Bit Technology®. That being said, the same drugs that are gradually causing Chao to deteriorate physically, allows him to be a formidable opponent when facing any opposition, problem or task that is at hand.
Chao’s Religion/ Beliefs
Chao’s religion is Buddhism, but the only time he really is reminded of his religion is when he glances at his ivory Buddha necklace which he wears around his neck on a daily basis. Chao never prays or practices his faith; he just acknowledges it.
Chao’s Side Jobs and Hobbies
Chao sells illegal pharmaceuticals online as a side hustle. Whatever his clients want he will produce and deliver with a 100% percent satisfaction rate. With a natural talent for code encryption, he has been able to create his own pharmaceutical shopping network encrypted website.
His annual income from the site is estimated to be around $125,000 and it has 1.2 million subscribers. As a video game junkie, he has won numerous gaming awards. In his past time, he likes to watch game shows, skate, hoverboard, gamble, and skydive….basically any kind of activity that has a risk factor or makes him produce adrenaline. He also collects exotic insects. Chao is always on social media and often times tries to lure in prostitutes with fake profiles.
